Broome in the north-west of Western Australia is struggling with a wave of homelessness and drunken violence, with liquor restrictions in the central Kimberley adding to the problem. A lack of affordable short-term accommodation, combined with Aboriginal people moving in from remote communities, has led to people camping on bush blocks and parks in town.
