The most important possession of the Wodaabe people is a large wooden bed that serves as their house, known as a Suudu, when they camp. This bed is surrounded by screens for privacy. Upon arrival, the Suudu is set up, and calabashes are placed on top of it. These calabashes act as status symbols and are passed down through generations. The Suudu serves multiple purposes: it functions as a house, a kitchen, and a resting or sleeping area.Upon arrival, the Suudu (house) is set up, with calabashes placed on top.
