Allan Tampling, from Melbourne, looking our for whales around James price Point area. Allan has been an on-shore base supporter for 10 years. He decided to apply online for a campaign and got picked for this campaign, which is his first. His role is Quarter Master and is an asistant of the Captain. Trained on the job and is now filling in the logbook, keeping an eye on the radar's gps and speed and writes down the coordinance of the ship, the weather, outside and water temperature and marks the ship on the chart, every hour, or when any turn has been made. Alan is a retired Telstra Technician where he was employed for 34 years, he has always been interested in the ocean and saving marine life, so we have mankind 'if we don't have oceans we don't have men'
